The next lesson we'll learn to create lights illusions, imitate stained-glass window, insert organically an object into a certain space and create the effect of having tear borders.
First open in a new window the picture of an old book: File ? Open (ctrl+o).
To be possible to work with this picture, it's necessary to copy the layer it is situated on: Layer ? Duplicate Layer (ctrl+j). Then choose Polygonal Lasso Tool to mark it out along its contours.
Cut it out: Edit ? Cut (ctrl+x) and insert it on a new layer: Edit ? Paste (ctrl+v). The previous layer must be erased. Increase now the size of the image, using Crop Tool and correct a little the book's perspective with Edit ? Transform ? Distort.
Distort it a little also (Distort option).
Choose now the floor's texture.
Open it on a new window (ctrl+o), mark it out with Rectangular Marquee Tool and copy it: Edit ? Copy (ctrl+c). Get back to the processed picture and insert it on a new layer: Edit ? Paste (ctrl+v).. Stretch out this layer in a way to be situated lower than the book's layer and distort the floor in such a way to be situated under the same angle as the book is. Apply next selection for this: Edit ? Transform ? Perspective.
Choose now the wall's texture.
Insert it on a layer under the floor's layer and correct its size making use of the next combination: Edit ? Free Transform (ctrl+t).
First open in a new window the picture of an old book: File ? Open (ctrl+o).

Choose now any picture that has a frame.
Insert the picture above the glass, correct its size (ctrl+t) and apply Polygonal Lasso Tool to mark it out. Erase the central part of it (ctrl+x).
Create now a new layer above the floor's layer and group out both layers (just not to get outside the borders) with next selection: Layer ? Create Clipping Mask (ctrl+g). Applying the Gradient Tool, dark out a little the floor on the first plane.
Change the layer's type on Overlay and merge down both layers with Layer ? Merge Down (ctrl+e).
Change now the floor's color. It's necessary to use for this the command Image ? Adjustments ? Selective Color.
The frame's color also must be changed (Image ? Adjustments ? Curves (ctrl+m)).
The window must be corrected too. Apply Curves (ctrl+m).
Combine the layers composing the flower (ctrl+e) and change its color, if it is necessary: Image ? Adjustments ? Hue/Saturation (ctrl+u).
Copy this layer after that: Layer ? Duplicate Layer (ctrl+j). Place it above the book and turn it a little (ctrl+t). Group it with the book (ctrl+g). Erase now those parts of the flower which are situated outside the border of the upper page.
Change the layer's type on Color Burn. Copy out the flower's layer again and make it look white: Image ? Adjustments ? Brightness/Contrast.
Move this layer under the book's layer and make use of Free Transform selection and Distort option to stretch it out. Change the layer's type on Overlay.
Create now the book's shadow. It's necessary for this to copy the book's layer (ctrl+j), make the copy look black with Image ? Adjustments ? Brightness/Contrast (this the inverse operation of making the flower look white). Move the shadow's layer under the basic book's layer and blur it out with next selection: Filter ? Blur ? Gaussian Blur.
Distort a little the shadow (Edit ? Transform ? Distort). Change now the layer's type on Soft Light and minimize the Opacity till 69%.
On a new layer above the book must be painted the lateral parts of the book situated in the shadow. Apply the Gradient tool for this.
Make one more copy of the flower's layer.
Move the copy lower than the basic layer and blur it out (Gaussian Blur).
Insert on the top layer now a kind of picture like the next one:
Increase its brightness (ctrl+m).
Change the colors (selective Color) and change also the layer's type on Overlay.
Insert on the upper part a texture that demonstrates the soil and the sand.
Create a mask from this layer: Layer ? Add Layer Mask ? Hide all. Next step includes selecting a brush (Brush Tool) of white color, setting the brush's Hardness on 0% and painting the picture's borders to display the sand on the pictured zone.
Make the texture more intensive: Filter ? Sharpen ? Sharpen and change the layer's type on Screen. Minimize the Opacity till 80%.
Copy two times the layer containing the frame (ctrl+j). One copy must be grouped out with the floor's layer (ctrl+g), and the second one ? with the book's one. The lowest layer must be distorted with the command Free Transform and Distort. The shadow falling on the book must repeat the same shapes that the book has. It's possible to do that with Polygonal Lasso Tool and the commands Free Transform and Distort.
Blur out both layers with the same meaning: Filter ? Blur ? Gaussian Blur. Change the type of these layers on Soft Light.
Change the layer's type on Soft Light.
Using the Gradient Tool, dark out the picture's corners (on a new layer, upper than the rest of them).
Change the layer's type on Saturation.
Merge down all the layers now: Layer ? Merge Visible (shift+ctrl+e). Then apply the Rectangular Marquee Tool to mark out the right book's part. Then copy it (ctrl+c) and insert it on a new layer (ctrl+v). Blur out the layer horizontally: Filter ? Blur ? Motion Blur.
Change the layer's type on Color Burn and combine it with the basic layer (ctrl+e). Choose the Brush Tool on a new layer and draw the burs (it's not necessary for them to be of the same sizes).
Blur them out with the next filter: Filter ? Blur ? Radial Blur.
Copy the layer that we've got (ctrl+j) and the copy must be blurred along the circles' trajectory: Filter ? Blur ? Radial Blur.
Combine both layers and change the layer's type on Overlay.
Merge this layer with the basic one (ctrl+e).
On a new layer must be inserted the picture of a crumpled sheet of paper.
Using the Magic Wand Tool erase the background it is situated on.
Move this layer under the picture's layer, group them (ctrl+g) and correct the size. Create the new layer lower than the rest of them and paint it in black, using Paint Bucket Tool.
Copy the layer containing the picture and blur this copy: Filter ? Blur ? Gaussian Blur.
Change the layer's type on Multiply. Combine the layers with the picture and the paper (ctrl+e) and add the white color to the layer by using next selection: Layer ? Layer Style ? Blending Options? Choose the Inner Glow.
Add the flare in the central part of the so-called flower: Filter ? Render ? Lens Flare.
Create a new layer; group it with the picture (ctrl+g). Select the Brush Tool and paint the corners in black.
Blur the layer with the Radial Blur.
Change the layer's type on Soft Light and combine all the layers now (shift+ctrl+e). Correct the colors, applying Curves (ctrl+m).
That is what we've got:
Finished!
